For almost four decades, Matt Kendrick has been leading jazz groups at festivals, concerts and clubs. He also loves playing all sorts of private events, including wedding receptions, cocktail parties, fundraisers and corporate functions. His client list is distinguished and long.  Most of the time, he leads his group, which plays a wide variety of songs, including music by the following composers:

#1 This is from the mid 90's. David Via-drums, Jack King-guitar, Alan Neese-trumpet, Steve Blake-sax, Matt Kendrick-bass/arranger. It was recorded at Reflection Studios in Charlotte with Mark Williams at the board recording live to 2 track digital.

#2 this was live back in 2004 at the Wherehouse. It's Matt Kendrick-bass composer, John Wilson-drums, Joe Morgan-electronics, and a woodwind quintet of the Carolina Chamber Symphony Players.

#3 This tune was written by the late Ken Coxx of Detroit. Ken Coxx-piano, Roy Brooks-drums, Vincent Boeing-wood winds, Matt Kendrick-bass rec. 1986 at Reflection Studios in Charlotte by Mark Williams. This is a rough mix by Mark. It's never been released.

#4 Joanne Brackeen-piano and arrangement, Jack Wilkins-sax, Matt Kendrick-bass and Jason Brashear-drums live at Carrboro ArtsCenter 1993 or so.

#5 Played in 1999 with Marian McPartland on piano, Matt Kendrick-bass, Jason Brashear-drums at USC Columbia, South Carolina
